Head Coach Sarah Fowler


Sarah Fowler was selected to lead Eastern University Women's Basketball in May of 2023.  A native of Elizabethtown and a a graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School, the former Saint Joseph's standout becomes the 18th Head Coach in program history.

In her first season at the helm, Fowler led the Eagles ten wins in their final 19 games and had two players recognized as All-MAC Commonwealth performers.

Fowler played overseas in Greece and Ireland before returning to the U.S. to coach at Colgate, Saint Joseph's, and Robert Morris University.

At Saint Joseph's, she was named the 2015-16 Big-5 Scholar Athlete of the Year, and was also honored to receive the Class of 1950 award, for the top athlete in a graduating class. She was two-time captain and was twice named BIg-5 Most Improved Player. In her playing career, she became just the second SJU player to score more than 1,000 points, grab more than 600 rebounds, and block more than 100 shots.

She played in two NCAA Tournaments. Her 2013-14 team reached the second round where she scored a team-high 12 points and grabbed five rebounds against an unbeaten UConn team that would go on to win a National Championship.

After completing her basketball eligibility, she walked on to the SJU Track and Field Team where she set program records in both the Shot and the Discus.

After graduation, she earned an MS in Business Management from Dublin City University in Ireland with the Sport Changes Life program, which is a non-profit organization that enables international student-athletes to continue their education, their sport and to coach in local clubs. As a member of DCU Mercy, she received Ireland's Female College Basketball player of the year in 2017 while coaching the club's U20s to a a Dublin Cup victory and a National Championship.  The following season she played professionally for Olympicos Volos in Greece.

She and her husband, Gabriel, live in Yeadon with their daughter, Naomi.
